LASH EXTENSIONS AFTER CARE

THINGS TO AVOID:

Waterproof Cosmetics often have an oil base and are difficult to remove, which will lead to unnecessary rubbing when trying to wash them off. When it comes to eyeliner, wetting an angled brush and dipping it in eyeshadow is the safest option and easiest to wash off. However, if you prefer liquid, the pen versions are the best and must be water-based - NOT waterproof. Gel and pencil eyeliners are an absolute no-go as they're waxy and will wrap around the base of the extensions, and washing them off is difficult.

LASH LIFT AFTER CARE

Do not get your lashes wet for 24 hours. This can weaken the curl.

Please do not sleep with your lashes pressed into the pillow for the first 24 hours, as it can change the curl or shape of the lash lift.

Keep lashes conditioned with nourishing oil such as coconut oil.

It is best to avoid waterproof mascara or limit its use.

Use a growth serum such as Borboleta (we sell it at the studio) to keep the lashes growing healthy and strong.

Do not use a lash curler. This can damage the lashes after a lift.

CLEANSING:

Proper cleansing is the #1 most important step in caring for your new lashes. Washing your lashes regularly will prevent a build-up of dead skin, dirt, and oils. This will not only improve retention but also prevent infection and other complications. Simply lather up your cleanser and use a cleansing brush to work it down into your lashes, then rinse well! Repeat at least 3x a week, although daily is recommended.

BRUSHING:

Thoroughly brushing your lashes will keep them tangle-free and prevent twisting and pulling. Brush your lashes at least 2x daily. Allow your lashes to dry after cleansing them before brushing, especially with volume lashes, to get them looking fluffy again.

FILLS:

Schedule your fills 2-3 weeks out, depending on your retention and preference. This will keep your lashes from drooping, pulling, or twisting, which can occur when an extension grows out.
