WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Eyelash extensions are the application of synthetic or real mink lashes to your natural lash. Eyelash extensions add length, curl, and volume to your natural lashes and can be customized to enhance and draw attention to your eyes. Extensions come in a variety of thicknesses, lengths, and colors (although black is most common to give the mascara look).
IS THE PROCESS OF HAVING EYELASH EXTENSIONS PAINFUL?
Absolutely NOT. The vast majority of clients are snoring away within a few minutes. You should not feel any pain or discomfort and if you do immediately inform your lash artist.
ARE LASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGING MY REAL LASHES?
When done properly, no! Proper separation of each natural lash, use of appropriate weight lashes, and never over-extending the natural lash, are all factors that go into making sure your lash extensions never hurt you or cause damage. Going to an artist that is educated and takes care in each of those factors can allow you to have lashes continuously for years.
CAN I SWIM, SHOWER, AND GO TO THE GYM?
Yes, yes, and yes. Once the adhesive is cured there are no limitations to getting them wet. Just be mindful of being gentle when drying them. Patting them is best and give them a brush through with your lash brush.
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
The average time between touch-ups is 2-3 weeks. Retention is affected by how well you follow aftercare as well as your natural growth cycle. The average person loses 2-5 natural lashes a day, so fills are necessary to replace the extensions that shed along with them. Grown-out extensions that have not shed yet are also removed and replaced at touch-ups appointments to prevent any excess strain, drooping, and twisting.
WHICH SET IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Please take a look at the Services page to learn more about each lash set and see what feels right for you and your lifestyle/preference! Keep in mind, that the amount and length of your natural lashes will affect how each set turns out. If you have a sparse lash line (not a lot of lashes) then volume may be your best option to create a darker lash line. Hybrid is a great option if you can't decide between classic or volume, or you know you want something in between that's great for daily wear. If you just want to replace the need for mascara, classic is right up your alley.
HOW DO YOU CUSTOMIZE THE LASHES FOR EACH PERSON?
Every lash set is customized for each client, based on natural lash health, facial features, and eye shape. You can choose from a natural pop to a full glam look.
HOW DO I REMOVE THEM?
If for any reason you must have your lash extensions removed, make sure to go to a professional. We have specially formulated debonding agents that dissolve the adhesive and will not damage your natural lashes. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE ON YOUR OWN. If you attempt to remove them on your own then you are risking the health of your natural lashes.
